After the whole scenario and controversy about Cristiano Ronaldo and Manchester United, Portugal played its first match of the FIFA World Cup 2022 against Ghana. Everyone was excited to see Ronaldo playing again after a long rest at Manchester United. The controversy was about 17 million, and Ronaldo decided not to take it with a mutual understanding with the former club. It was time to see the star players in action on the football ground and score some goals.
The first half was 0-0, and during the 62nd minute of the second half, Salisu made a tackle against Ronaldo to clear the ball inside the penalty area. Ronaldo falls by the tackle and penalty given by Referee Ismail Elfath. Ronaldo took the penalty and scored the goal.
The surprising part was no VAR was taken for this tackle. The replay showed that he went to the ground even without a meaningful impact on him which is as good as a dive, and Mo Salisu had the first touch on the ball. It was a gift from the Referee to Portugal.
Score Portugal 1:0 Ghana
In the 73rd minute, Andre Aye scored the beautiful equalizer.
The score was Portugal 1:1 Ghana.
In the 78th minute, Joao Felix again provided the lead for Portugal.
The score was Portugal 2:1 Ghana.
In the 80th minute, a pass from Bruno Fernandes near Ghana’s box to Rafael Leao. Leao calmly guides the ball to the right bottom corner of the goal, away from Ati-Zigi.
Ghana players were appealing for offside, but the referee didn’t even stutter, and VAR officials had not communicated with him.
Both the referee and VAR officials were so bias

"The referee gave a penalty which was not a penalty. Everyone saw that. Why? Because it's Ronaldo or something?"
“If somebody scores a goal, congratulations. But this was really a gift. A special gift from the referee.” pic.twitter.com/9JKSJit7wD
On replay, Leao was offside.
It was a disappointment for Ghana, but they scored again in the 89th minute in the form of Osman Bukari with a header.
The game was over. Portugal won the game, but the referee stole the game from Ghana, a country in Africa.

Why do @FIFAWorldcup always gives substandard referees to officiate Ghana matches. Let's there be fair play as you have being trumpeting all time.@3NewsGH #Shame
This is not the first time it happened with African Nations in the FIFA World Cup and it is happening again and again. Many people are disappointed with this injustice happening.
In the past as well the refs haven’t been just with the African nations, if you know of any such events, tell us in the comment section.
